Whatu

This kete whakairo has been created using fresh harakeke (flax) harvested from Koutu on the shores of Lake Rotorua. As it ages and dries, the kete will grow lighter in colour.  Whatu references the art of raranga - simply 'to weave'.  Whatu can be viewed in ahu boutique, Rotorua.
