This framed tauira is created using harakeke (flax) harvested from Omaka in Blenheim. The harakeke has been boiled to preserve it and dyed forest green. Taki Iti means " off beat"; this piece demonstrates the idea by presenting it in a recycled frame and using the off-cuts of a kete. This ultimately adds to the character of the piece.
