Whiti: to cross - to emerge - to shine

Created from fresh whenu harvested in Te Puke, Whiti speaks to the transformation of materials that might otherwise have been discarded due to their imperfection. Through weaving, these imperfect whenu have been given new purpose and a renewed life.

The mawhitiwhiti pattern moves through the centre of the weave, creating a sense of crossing movement and connection. The long natural ends are left free to flow, reflecting the organic nature of the harakeke and its journey from whenua to taonga.

Whiti is a celebration of resilience - of crossing over, emerging and finding new life.
