This kete whakairo has been created using harakeke (flax) harvested from the property of Wai Morrison (sister-in-law) in Maketū, Bay of Plenty. The flax has been boiled and dyed to preserve it and has been created in the style of patikitiki. The colour used was forest green. Whakaaro refers to the intention of cherishing the art of raranga and the aroha of whānau.
