This piece is created using harakeke (flax) harvested from Koutu on the shores of Lake Rotorua. The harakeke has been boiled (the dyed pieces are forest green), then shredded for the effect. Te Taiao o Korukoru is reflected through the korukoru (wild turkey) feathers which are placed along the top.
