Te Kete Māhaki

This miniature kete was created using harakeke (flax) harvested from Koutu on the shores of Lake Rotorua. It reflects the earthy tones of the whenua. The natural browns speak of the  richness of the land, grounding the piece in its place of origin. A humble expression of connection to the whenua, shaped through the care and tradition of raranga.
