Te Rā me te Ua

This framed tauira is created using harakeke (flax) harvested from Omaka in Blenheim. The harakeke has been boiled to preserve it and dyed blue. Te Rā me te Ua simply means "the sun and the rain" as it was created on a showery day and the represents the rain and sun emanating from the sky. This piece is presented in a recycled grey distressed frame which ultimately adds to the character of the piece.
