This piece is created using harakeke (flax) harvested from Fairhall in Blenheim. The harakeke has been boiled and some pieces have been dyed (various shades of green) to preserve it. Te Wairua o Ngahere refers to the natural essence of this piece, with its shades of the Ngahere (bush/forest).
