This kete whakairo has been created using harakeke (flax) harvested from Omaka in Blenheim. The flax has been boiled and dyed forest green to preserve it and has been created in the style of takitahi with a natural diagonal band. Kaupapa refers to the platform that the artist has launched from in an effort to improve in the skill of raranga. Kaupapa can be viewed in ahu boutique, Wellington.
