This piece is created using harakeke (flax) harvested from the Taylor River in Blenheim. The whenu has been boiled and dyed (blue) to preserve it. Ora speaks of wellness, and the harakeke that this piece is created from is growing with its roots firmly set in the awa (river). The harakeke is strong and vital. Ora has a sense of calm!
