This piece is created using harakeke (flax) gathered from Anchorage Bay in the Abel Tasman National Park, in the top of the South Island. It is created from fresh whenu. The particularly rustic look is a result of not having the appropriate tools at the time, and was made in a very simple manner while enjoying the essence of the environment.
