This kete whakairo has been created using harakeke (flax) harvested from Omaka in Blenheim. The flax has been boiled and dyed (forest green) to preserve it, and has been created using the tuākana/teina style of laying each green whenu on top of a natural piece. Hurō speaks of 'delight'.
